These days, there are plenty of places to buy art online. Gallery site Photocircle stands out from the rest by funding educational, environmental, and development projects in the regions where the photos were taken, effectively allowing the subjects of the work to benefit.

Photocircle aptly calls this “closing the circle”: The photographers fund projects with part of their revenue, the site contributes for each photo purchased, customers get affordable, high-quality art and help finance projects, and the projects give back to the subjects that make each photo unique.

According to the Berlin-based site, they have successfully funded 56 projects through partner NGOs, including giving Guatemalan families access to clean water, providing elementary education in Bangladesh, and supporting Syrian refugees.

Prints start at just $20.
