Dream Car: Vegan Tesla

You’d have to have been living under a rock inside of a cave to have not heard of Tesla before. It’s stylish and green, with a super long range per charge of 220 miles, and the most important part for me, there is actually a phenomenal amount of  trunk space when you fold down that back seat. So, yeah, I’ve been ogling this elegant beast for a while now, just like a lot of other people, but the problem for me was the price. More recently, the model 3 was unveiled at only $35,000. That’s still a good amount of cash for the average Joe, but with leasing options it’s totally obtainable to pay a monthly fee and have your own version of a dream car, especially when you factor in how much the average person spends in gas commuting to work all week long. It’s pretty amazing stuff.

I loved that one tiny tidbit of info too that it is a vegan car. Demand for this car was so focused on being green that buyers wanted to make sure even the fabrics were better for the environment. The meat and dairy industry burn through tons (actual tons) of C02, methane gas, and pollute our water ways. It is really easy to forget that leather is tied right into that, it’s cow skin, so facing what a major impact leather has on the environment is wonderful. Beyond the impact of factory farms, the skin is also treated with the most horrifying and deadly toxins that turn it into leather, so for how cool it looks, facing the reality of the hazards of producing that material is amazing and they did a great job with this car. You don’t have to be a vegan to fall in love with the beautiful seating. It looks great inside and out and I hope I get the sincere pleasure of getting my hands on one sooner than later, too.

What do you guys think? Would you get one too? Is there another green car you’ve got your eyes on? Let us know in the comments below.

I too had the Tesla as my dream car- until he signed on to work with the president who doesn’t believe that our meat and fuel demands are destroying our planet, and that this is fake news. I felt better when Musk resigned from working with our Prez Moron. And now perhaps I can fantasize about owning one again, as soon as the bad taste of his standing by our nutjob Prez fades.

I used to pilot the Model S for work. it isn’t a car. It is a spaceship. The immediate power is fun! 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds. Thats freakin’ fast!

Teslas are not for the novice driver, or for the scared drivers. Teslas are for people who know how to drive.
