Here it is, the world’s best salsa! Prep it out in just a matter of minutes and add it to just about anything to give it extra sweet freshness and zing. You can scoop this one up with tortilla chips, spoon it into your burrito, or garnish your next dinner with it – it’s all good, wicked good. This is also an amazing base to add to if you feel like trying something kind of exotic, like grilling up some slices of pineapple to serve on top, tossing in some mango chunks or if you like traditional Italian flavors switch the lime out for lemon and add a little basil and olive oil. Feel free to play and get creative with alterations and uses, but this is the backbone for a lot of very happy meals.
For a nice big batch you can use for a few days:
- 2 Large Tomatoes
- 1 Yellow Pepper
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Onion
- 1 Lime
- Hot Pepper Sauce
Chop up the tomatoes as well as the peppers and onion. You can use red if you like, or a sweet white one if you are more sensitive to that flavor. Squeeze in one lime. Add in salt & and any other seasoning if you want, and finish off with whatever hot spicy sauce you like in there. Obviously the the amount of salt and spice depend on your own tastes or your guest’s tastes, but for me the more the merrier when it comes to spice – as long as I can still taste the flavor of the veggies too.
